[ A SHODDY RECIPE FOR A REVOLUTION OF THE
MIND ] Jack Dulouz aka Trevor Nothing Young minds should be shown that the hippest cats
alive were often the smartest, with a thirst for knowledge; that the writers
and poets had some of the same questions, did drugs, made mistakes, took
chances of the soul. If the elders of
adulthood weren't afraid of their own youth and could share with their
children the truths of their lives, and if the old could accept that the
young need to make the mistakes and experience the mad, sad beauty of life,
and let the young know that they understand, and the youth of America may not
resent so much, and that could set us all on an equal plane where no one is
made more or less by age. This country was founded on the principle that
with time comes change- they knew, they understood this- and that is why this
country, this America, this government, has lasted so long, and if everyone
could remember this and pull together with an open mind, we could make a
change, because a drastic change is what we need. America is in a purgatory of some supposed fantasy
comfort, turning a blind eye to the wealth of rage exploding in our schools
in the minds and hearts of the youth of this country; the wandering
desperation, the void, no great war, no great depression; just in an empty
fast food culture, concerned with image and consumption, and more and more of
us aren't buying into it- we're looking for something more, and it’s building
toward a collective scream for change, to tear down this soul-less cruelty,
empty facades, and make a change, an emergence of a new way of thinking- a
new generation. We need to strip our minds!
